We are grateful for all the love and support that you have given us throughout this last year. Your generosity has meant more than ever.
2020 was a year that we never could have expected. As we teach in the TIP Training Academy, we must learn to be flexible, adapt and “do the dance.”
In this past year, Trauma Intervention Program NW has…
- Trained 60 community members to be TIP Volunteers.
- Created and fine-tuned our “Tele-TIP” response; supporting citizens by phone when an in-person response is not possible.
- Implemented a new 30-Day Client Follow-Up program.
- Held our first virtual fundraiser, which allowed even more people to learn about TIP.
- Provided support to those displaced by the Clackamas Wildfires
- Provided support to those who worked in the COVID Emergency Operations Center.
But most importantly, your support has allowed us to continue to serve citizens in crisis on a daily basis.
- When a family member received a phone call that their mother died of COVID in a nursing home, TIP Volunteers were there.
- When a child died and family wasn’t permitted to say their last goodbyes, TIP Volunteers were there.
- When a beloved 92 year-old grandfather died of natural causes but a funeral wasn’t allowed, TIP Volunteers were there.
- When a school was devastated by the loss of a teacher, TIP Volunteers were there.
- When a community was shaken after violence, TIP Volunteers were there.
- When a roommate came home from work to find their other roommate unconscious, TIP Volunteers were there.
During this “unprecedented” time, TIP Volunteers were there… and will continue to be there. We thank YOU for your support and which allows us to continue our important work supporting the bereaved.
We are only $951 away from meeting our new goal of $20,000 raised through this year’s “TIP Give!” Give!Guide campaign. Today is the last day to give.
If you are able to donate now, we would LOVE to pass the finish line of 2020 with a huge accomplishment… and welcome 2021 with open arms. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Best wishes for 2021!
With gratitude,
Trauma Intervention Program NW
